Life Comes From It has distributed more than $18M in grants to more than 250 grassroots organizations and projects working in the fields of restorative justice, transformative justice, indigenous peacemaking, and land-based healing.

Life Comes From It has organized more than ten in-person gatherings around the country since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, with more than 500 total attendees. These gatherings have brought together many previously unconnected movement leaders and have helped to foster numerous partnerships.

We have partnered with established conferences to increase diversity, particularly to strengthen Black and Indigenous solidarity across movement work. Some of these conferences include Columbia University’s Beyond the Bars, the National Association for Community and Restorative Justice, and the Justice Innovations Summit.

We have created 8+ webinars uplifting the voices of movement leaders and impactful but little-known work.

We have provided over 4,000 hours of organizational development, program evaluation, and leadership development consultation in partnership with EPIC Consulting and the nonprofit/fiscal sponsor Youth Passageways. We have also supported our grantees with fundraising support, resulting in more than $500,000 in additional funds raised.
