David Carranza was born and raised in Los Angeles and recently graduated from UC Berkeley with an Interdisciplinary Degree focused on Financial Education & Real Estate. As a person who has been impacted by the carcel system, David is committed to breaking intergenerational cycles of incarceration, violence, poverty, and barriers to higher education. He has gained valuable experience in assisting nonprofit organizations in establishing the necessary financial systems and strategic planning for sustainable growth, thus maximizing their impact in the communities they serve. David's hope remains to empower communities and change the narrative of how individuals from "untraditional" backgrounds are perceived.
